Peter Robert was Managing Director and Head of U. S. Capital Markets for CitiBank Private Bank from 2002-2008 where he developed, structured, marketed, and executed structured equity products, structured notes, structured funds, and hedge fund derivatives; OTC equity derivatives, OTC credit, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodity derivatives to significant private bank clients. He created and implemented customized investment solutions that transformed the Private Bank's capital markets business. In 2007, under Mr. Robert's guidance, revenues for investments and capital markets exceeded $100 million. Year-on year revenue growth was 43% for capital markets and 31% for investments. From 1996 to 2002, Mr. Robert was President of Credit Agricole Lazard Financial Products (US) where he managed a team that designed, structured, and executed strategic equity derivative solutions for corporate clients and their shareholders in the US and Latin America while also executing large M&A related equity solutions and stock monetization transactions, including collars, variable share forwards, and proprietary structures in the U. S. In Latin America, he completed several large equity derivative transactions with notional amounts ranging from $50 million to $1 billion, including the largest OTC equity derivative deals done in Latin America prior to 2002. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Robert was a Principal at Morgan Stanley and Managing Director at Bear Stearns where at both firms he was instrumental in developing and pioneering several derivative-based financing structures for Latin American counterparties in common use today. Mr. Robert is a graduate of Cornell University (BA) Physics and has a Master of Engineering OR and IE (Operations Research and Information Engineering) from Cornell University where he also did Ph. D. level work in quantitative finance.
